About The Event
This XRF course (5 days) is targeted towards starters and new Malvern Panalytical XRF users. It also forms a refresher for users with a few years of experience in XRF. Practical sessions form an important part of this XRF course. Fundamental and practical aspects of SuperQ for sequential XRF systems are treated. Emphasis is placed on the daily use of SuperQ and the Omnian standardless software. Practical aspects of parameter selection, matrix effects, sample preparation, quantitative analysis, standardless analysis, calibration and calibration update, monitor correction and results analysis are dealt with extensively. The course is composed of lectures and hands-on sessions using the Zetium spectrometers available in our Application Competence Center, Almelo, The Netherlands. WD spectrometers courses can be organized on-site. Please contact your local Malvern Panalytical representative. The following aspects will be covered during the course: • Basic theory of X-ray fluorescence and instrumentation • Qualitative & Quantitative analysis • Application Setup • Calibration, Matrix effect & Sources of errors • Omnian standardless analysis • Drift monitors, their implementation and practical use • Sample preparation of fused beads, pressed pellets, loose powders and liquids This is a paid course at the rate of 690 Euro per participant/per day. For in-person courses offered at Malvern Panalytical, travel and accommodation expenses are not included. Some meals may be provided during in-person course days. Course registration will close 3 weeks prior to the course date, or as soon as the class is full. We reserve the right to cancel courses due to insufficient enrolment or unforeseen circumstances.
