Using XRD for powder, thin film and nanomaterial research
24 - 25 Jun, Universitas Indonesia, Jakarta
About The Event
In materials research, the scientist has many analytical questions related to the chemical composition and crystalline constitution of materials. X-ray diffraction (XRD) is the only laboratory technique that non-destructively and accurately obtains information such as chemical composition, crystal structure, crystal orientation, crystallite size, lattice strain, preferred orientation and layer thickness. Materials researchers therefore use XRD to analyze a wide range of materials, from powders to solids, thin films and nanomaterials. Join our free 2-day workshop, which is proudly brought to you by Universitas Indonesia and Malvern Panalytical. Our guest speakers will discuss about powder as well as advanced applications relating to thin films and nanomaterials. Learn how to apply the theory to improve your XRD analysis; whether in optimising your data collection and data quality but also interpretation and implications.
